ABC Books is an Independent book store specializing in Used and New books. The store was established in 1989 and is located on part of the original Route 66. We have over 100,000 books in stock! We also do custom orders for new and used books. Beekeepers Association of the Ozarks

“The Beekeepers Association of the Ozarks is a non-profit organized November 11, 1974, and was formed to engage in activities promoting the common interest of beekeeping and the general welfare of the honey bee.  Our main goal is to provide information, education, and service to the area.  Some of the functions we offer are basic beekeeping courses which is designed to get a person started in beekeeping.   Our members often volunteer in the public schools to do presentations for our children.  We also provide swarm removal of honey bees to the public usually at no charge.  Lastly we promote and sell honey to the public and along with other hive products like beeswax, candles and many other items made from the hive.”

Friends of the Garden

The Friends of the Garden mission is to “establish and facilitate a Botanical Center, gardens, and arboretum at Close Botanical Gardens and Lake Drummond to inspire the discovery, understanding, and appreciation of nature.”

Master Gardeners of Greene County

“Trained by the University of Missouri Extension, Master Gardeners provide volunteer horticultural services to the public.” “They are about volunteering, collaborating, educating and beautifying. They work in public park gardens, answer the Master Gardener Hotline, lecture to local organizations in their areas of gardening expertise, take horticulture classes to learn more, organize fundraising activities and even have their own newsletter.
