Springfield Area Herb Society presenting Healthy Herbs/Healthy Soil Critters by our own member Patricia Tursi
Why should we be concerned about plant nutrients about our health and plant health? Research studies will be given as examples. How do we detect nutrients? What does nutrient level tell us about the time for harvest? How does preservation differ for nutrient values? Do all the same herb species have the same nutrient values? How do we increase plant nutrient values? What affects the soil life and health? How do we measure it? This is a power point presentation and time will be saved for questions. There is a considerable amount of research that answers these questions. A handout will be given.
Barbara Houk will be doing our herb highlight for the evening.
Barbara Emge (owner of Red Barn Herb Farm) will be sharing what to do in your garden for March
